Here’s How I Learned This Lesson

I used to present myself as a “generic” consultant, trying to be all things to all people. But while I felt confident in my abilities being a “jack of all trades” only made me appear as a “master of none” to the buying public. So few people bought what I had to offer.

That’s when I got the support needed to figure out what to do –

Here are examples of how I’ve made this work.

I’ve always been able to write clear, concise information, even with complex topics. When I started working on the Internet, I immediately learned about web writing techniques such as using SEO, keywords, and other processes necessary to get my websites ranked. With my years of designing curriculum and teaching all levels of people from undergraduate students to executives, I am also an expert at taking a basic concept and turning it into lessons, programs, training courses, curriculum, books and other information products.

So it was a natural for me to start creating various types of information products and expand them into a complete line of products – this was my point of expertise.

My first book on the web was Organize for Safety: The Step by Step Guide to Emergency and Disaster Preparedness. It took hundreds of hours for me to learn how to write this product for a web centered audience and more hours to learn the self-publishing process – a goal I successful accomplished when POD books were still a fresh idea.

After that hard work was done, I found out how much more I could do with that one book.

From the same materials I designed a course for an online University, created an ecourse for the book website, and published a series of articles through Internet article directories. And that was just touching the tip of possibilities.

During the six weeks you will:

  • Group calls are held every Wednesday from 11 – 12 PST. All calls will be recorded. Replays will be available online after the call, so if you ever need to miss a group coaching session, you can catch up by listening to the recording nd following the session handout.
  • Sessions will consist of a specific lesson covering a particular aspect of transforming your written document into a specific process or program.
  • You will have the chance to get laser coaching for your project and learn from hearing others get coached.
  • You will receive a written handout related to information product development between sessions.

Starting Date: July  2012. All coaching is by phone or Skype.
Time: Group coaching sessions are for six Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m. PST (2:00 p.m. EST)

NOTE: There is no guarantee of the results of this program as you are totally responsible for the outcome based on your personal efforts. Although six weeks is an adequate amount of time to complete this process and you will be provided with the tools and resources for completion it could take some people longer to fully complete this type of program.
